Join us for a “Share the Love” event featuring award-winning author and adventurer Steve Fagin, as he takes us on an unforgettable journey through mountains, rivers and trails, in faraway places as well as close to home.
A longtime columnist for The Day and author of AMC’s Best Day Hikes in Connecticut & Rhode Island, Steve will present an illustrated talk featuring breathtaking photos of his favorite local hiking and kayaking destinations. He also will describe expeditions in some of the world’s most spectacular mountain ranges, along with accounts of extensive paddling voyages in remote regions.
Steve has:
- Climbed all 67 New England peaks over 4,000 feet
- Kayaked most major rivers and lakes in the Northeast
- Run the Boston Marathon 11 times
- Hiked in the Himalayas, Andes, and Alps
Also the author of Treasures of Southeastern Connecticut and book editor of Appalachia, Steve’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Runner’s World, and other national publications.
Copies of his new guidebook will be available for signing after the presentation.
