Have you even wanted to learn about economics, entrepreneurship, and government policy?
Do you sometimes wonder why some towns go the direction they do, economically?
Are there aspects of the world of small business that interest you?
Do you yourself want to start a business in Richmond?

If your answer to any of the above is an enthusiastic "YES!" then we on the Economic Development Commission of Richmond, Rhode Island want YOU to stop by our next meeting and give us a chance to answer your questions about these subjects and all things concerning local and regional economic development!

If you have one Monday per month to spare for a meeting and a little bit of free time to do some "between meeting" work, then the EDC of Richmond, Rhode Island will enthusiastically say "YES!" to you!

The Richmond EDC is a Town Council appointed and sworn municipal body of the Town of Richmond, Rhode Island.

We are volunteers, and we work together with other boards, commissions, Town Staff, the Town Council, and the residents and small business community of Richmond to conduct economic analysis, provide policy recommendations, and serve as a point of contact for our residents who wish to start or expand a business!

It is exciting volunteer work which puts you in contact with like-minded volunteers, businesses, residents, town staff and elected officials.  We think it is the best local volunteer job you could imagine, so get in touch with us via phone, email, text...or stop by at our next meeting so you can see if a volunteer position on the Richmond EDC is for you!

The Richmond EDC meets one Monday per month, at 9:15 AM until 11:00 AM in the Town Council Chambers at the Richmond Town Hall.  Find our EDC Facebook page at Facebook or contact the EDC Chairman, Gary W. Parker, at edcrichmondri@gmail.com for more information!
